Sustainability at Button-King
As a family-run business, we have placed great importance on sustainability from the very beginning, in order to leave a livable planet for our children. Therefore, our entire button production is set up to be as sustainable as possible.
What we do to protect the environment and people
- We use electricity from renewable energy sources
- With our own solar system (100 KWp) we generate most of our electricity ourselves
- All buttons with pin closure are certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 (Certificate number: FL025 252902).
- Our digital textile printing is GOTS- and OEKO-TEX 100 certified
- Use of FSC-certified paper
- CO₂-neutral shipping within Germany
- Short delivery routes and avoidance of overproduction
- Durable materials for a long lifespan
Through modern production methods, we keep our CO₂ emissions during the production of buttons and magnets very low. At the same time, we mainly use metal parts and paper for button production.
Metal can be reused as a button at the end of its lifecycle. If buttons end up in nature, the metal decomposes over time through oxidation and leaves no toxic residues.
